Redefine Success

This is a success story about resilience, dedication, and determination. After successfully completing the Rapid Rehousing program with Bethel Shelters, Ayunah achieved a significant milestone by being approved for housing with Rock Hill Housing Authority. Throughout her time in the program, Ayunah demonstrated a strong commitment to creating a stable future for her family. While balancing the responsibilities of raising her children, she maintained employment and worked closely with her rapid rehousing case manager to achieve her housing goals. 

Ayunah's engagement in case management played a key role in this positive outcome for her family. Working alongside her rapid rehousing case manager, Ayunah was able to provide a Notice to Vacate to the property manager, complete all requirements of the move-in process with the Rock Hill Housing Authority, and transfer her utilities. With collaboration from the Catawba Area Coalition for the Homeless (CACH), Ayunah was able to break her lease at a place that was a housing cost burden without negative reporting on her credit score or housing history. She was also able to receive move-in costs support through CACH. Through consistent effort, utilization of available resources, and focus on long-term stability, Ayunah was able to overcome barriers and successfully transition from the Rapid Rehousing program to independence and self-sufficiency.

This success reflects the positive impact of the Rapid Rehousing program in helping individuals and families move from temporary housing assistance to a permanent, affordable housing solution, which creates a strong foundation for continued stability and independence.
